Throughline Consulting currently operates as a fictitious business name (DBA), filed through the County of San Diego, with Nicole Verdes as the sole proprietor. As the practice grows, we may transition to an LLC structure. We're happy to provide documentation of our registered business name upon request.

Throughline Consulting is based in San Diego, CA, and works primarily with organizations across the San Diego–Tijuana binational region. We're open to select engagements outside the region; reach out to discuss your organization's needs.

No consultant can honestly guarantee a grant award; funding decisions are ultimately up to the funder. What we can guarantee is a strong, well-researched, competitively written application that gives your organization the best possible chance.

No. Every proposal and report we produce is written by a human. At times, we use Instrumentl, a grant research platform, to help identify potential funders; Instrumentl's matching feature does use AI to analyze funder data, but we use it strictly for research, never for drafting content.

As early as possible. For grant writing specifically, we recommend at least 4–6 weeks of lead time to do the work justice; tighter timelines may still be possible depending on availability, so ask.
